Snow Removal

We saved a substantial amount of money by changing snow removal companies this season. We feel like they have done a great job. We have had several complaints; most of them about the snow being left too late in the day. The timing of snow removal is a tricky thing. We don’t want it removed too early and have the storm still precipitating, and we don’t want the snow left too long causing ice. We are happy with things for the most part.
Our job as residents is to remove any snow under 2 inches and to sprinkle ice melt when needed. We have seen lots of shovels around the park. If your building doesn’t have a shovel and you need one, please let a committee member know. FYI very little ice melt is needed to actually melt the ice, however the snow must be removed from on top of the ice first. Also, early in the day is the best time to do this so the temperature can rise enough to melt the ice. Thanks for your help!

Reminder for Fees Changes

The fees are going to be raising on April 1st 2008. The new HOA fee will be $135/month.

Dumpsters

Thank you for your patience while we work out the glitches with the dumpsters. We are trying to figure out what size dumpsters we need and the frequency needed for removal. We still need everyone to try to help reduce the volume of our waste. Please break down boxes etc.

Pets

As the snow melts we are seeing pet poop on the grass areas again. Please pick up after your pets. Keep Garden Park looking nice and avoid the unwanted $100 fine.  Don’t forget to keep ALL pets away from the playground at the west end of the park.

Bylaw Committee

There is a committee working on reviewing the “bylaws” and “community rules”. If you have any suggestions, please submit in writing to a member of this committee as soon as possible.
